This intimate workshop will focus on the business side of blogging — we’ll share the best tips and tools that we’ve found in 4+ years of doing this full-time. You’ll dive deep into your creative business goals and walk away from the day with a plan for how to execute them.

What You'll Learn

  • Branding: Getting clear on who you are, who you’re writing for, and whether that is being communicated effectively.

  • Social Media: Social media best practices, tools for automation and optimization, building community, and social strategy.

  • Working with Brands + Destinations: partnerships and media kits, what to charge, how to pitch, and more.

  • Monetization: running a profitable and sustainable business, business planning, and paths to income.

Please note: We seek to expedite the learning process for you, sharing openly and transparently in one day what took us years of experience to learn as individuals. We do not, however, have all the answers or offer any quick fixes. We’ll provide the space for you to grow and answer the questions you have, but we believe that anything worth building takes time. (There is no “secret” that leads to overnight success — especially if you want your business to grow and last!)

We tailor each getaways based on the needs of the group, so each seminar will likely vary.

*No formal writing or photography instruction is taught in the one-day workshop.


What you'll Experience

We invite you to retreat to the Warrington House in the Santa Rosa Hills and relax as you learn. We’ll begin with coffee and tea, continue with the first half of the living room workshop, and then pause for a lovely catered lunch al fresco on the Warrington House patio (the setting of which is a bit reminiscent of the South of France, if you ask us.)

In the afternoon we’ll continue with the curriculum and interactive exercises, to be followed by a wine hour on the terrace — complete with small bites and plenty of time for conversation and connection.

what to know about the workshop

  • We’ll be selecting 6-10 attendees via short application process to ensure we cultivate a cohesive community and provide the highest quality instruction.

  • The workshop presentations will be both professional and personable. We’ll work hard, but also we want you to be cozy, at home in the house, and to enjoy the day as we learn together.

  • All classes are in a group setting and condensed for the one-day setting. Time constraints do not allow for us to provide one-on-one coaching. That said, feel free to pull us aside after the class to have a look at your website, social profiles, or business plan (it’s what we’re there for!)

    We believe there is strength in community and that the journey is best when shared. We’ll go beyond the surface, help you connect with your unique set of skills and motivations, and reflect on what it means to blog intentionally and from an inspired place.

Who is this for?

Our one day workshop is open to female bloggers of all levels that are interested in going behind-the-scenes of what it takes to blog professionally and are serious about taking their business to the next level. Focusing on the essentials, the day will go through key steps for blogging success. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older (please note wine will only be served to those 21+) and have an active website or online presence. Basic knowledge of Wordpress or Squarespace is recommended.

PRICING & Payment

Date: Please ensure you are available all day on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 (8:30am-6pm.)

Pricing: The workshop cost is $450 for those who secure their spot before March 17th. Thereafter the cost is $495. Payment in full is due upon confirmation of acceptance. Payments are to be sent via PayPal. Please read our Booking Terms for more information before sending in your application.
